A unit plaque records a lineage rather than a person: subordinate squadrons, station, dates of operation, campaign record, and the insignia the members of that unit recognise instantly.

Most unit plaques on the market are carved wood or resin. Ours are cast bronze with the insignia hand-painted in relief — built to hang in a headquarters or a museum for a century, not a season.

The 100th Bombardment Group plaque carries four squadron patches in full color, a line-relief B-17 with the group's square-D tail marking, and the campaign record beneath.

Full Color Squadron Insignia

Squadron patches are usually the emotional centre of a unit plaque, and rendering them in monochrome bronze loses exactly what makes them recognisable. We cast them in relief and hand-paint them.

Four to six insignia sit comfortably on a 13″ plaque alongside the unit designation and campaign record. The painting is included in the plaque price.

Aircraft, Vehicles and Station Detail

We can cast a line-relief aircraft, vehicle or ship into the plaque with tail markings, hull numbers or bumper numbers correct to the unit.

Station names, dates of operation and campaign or mission records complete the record. On the 100th Bombardment Group plaque the mission count and two named raids sit at the foot.
