The Robert W. “Bob” LaFraugh Memorial Conference Room

To celebrate their 40th anniversary, the Seattle staff of WJE dedicated their conference room to Robert W. “Bob” LaFraugh, the office’s first unit manager. We worked with the team to turn a heartfelt tribute into a lasting cast bronze plaque — combining a photo-quality engraved portrait, the WJE logo, and a background image of the Murrow Bridge that reflects Bob’s legacy as “Mr. Concrete.”

Dedicated May 27, 2026. The finished inscription reads:

“This conference room is dedicated to Robert W. ‘Bob’ LaFraugh, WJE Seattle’s first unit manager, whose vision and dedication continue to inspire us. We are forever indebted to ‘Mr. Concrete’ for establishing the foundation on which we base our service to one another and our community. With gratitude as we celebrate our 40th anniversary,”

How This Plaque Was Designed
