In 2019, the Reno Aces — the Triple-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks — set aside a single seat in their ballpark that no fan will ever occupy. Above it hangs a bronze home plate we cast in our shop: the POW/MIA emblem raised in relief, dedicated on August 3, 2019 in partnership with the Vietnam Veterans of America, Sierra Nevada Chapter 989. The chair sits empty at every home game so that players, coaches, and fans never forget the service members who were captured or never came home.

Your Idea, Our Bronze — Even an AI Concept

The Fernandez Field plaque started as something we’d never been handed before: our client used AI to generate a design concept that imagined Coach Tommy Fernandez as a bronze statue — kneeling in his Riverside uniform against the brick of the dugout wall. It looked like a monument. They asked us if we could make it real.

We could. Our designers took the concept, worked the coach’s actual photograph into the figure so the face is unmistakably his, and engraved the finished artwork into a 20″ × 32″ bronze plaque. The statue their AI imagined now hangs in permanent metal — with the record to back it up: head baseball coach from 1972–1975 and 1984–1998, four state championships, over 300 wins, and a field that carries his name.

That’s the point of how we work: bring us anything. A single photograph, a pencil sketch, a scorecard, or an AI concept your booster club generated at midnight — our designers translate it into engraved bronze artwork, and you approve the full design proof before anything is cast. The tools for imagining a tribute have never been better. We’re the shop that makes the imagined thing permanent.
